Pricing on EventDeck fits in three lines: free events are free, paid tickets and merch carry a flat 5%, and vendor bookings carry 3%. No subscriptions, no setup costs, no per-month anything. Here's how that works in practice — and a choice organizers now control.

Free events cost nothing — genuinely

Unlimited free events, unlimited guests, QR check-in, reminders across email and SMS. If no money moves through the platform, we don't charge anyone anything.

When a ticket or merch item sells, EventDeck's fee is 5% of the discounted price. It covers payment processing, e-ticket delivery, fraud protection, and the gate tools. No sale, no fee — an event that doesn't sell owes nothing.

New: choose who pays the 5%

By default, the fee comes out of the organizer's payout — buyers pay exactly the listed price. But when creating an event you can now flip one switch and pass the fee to event-goers instead:

  • My business pays — a GHS 100 ticket sells for GHS 100; you receive GHS 95.
  • Event-goers pay — a GHS 100 ticket sells for GHS 105 (the buyer sees a clear "service fee" line at checkout); you receive the full GHS 100.

Neither option changes what EventDeck earns — it changes who covers it. Community events often absorb the fee; commercial events increasingly pass it on, matching how airline and concert ticketing works globally.

Vendor bookings: 3%

When a vendor booking is paid on-platform — an organizer hiring a caterer, or a vendor paying for a booth via a vendor application form — EventDeck's commission is 3%. It applies only when money actually moves; a waived or free booking carries no commission.

What about refunds?

If a buyer is refunded, they're refunded in full — EventDeck doesn't keep its fee on refunded tickets, and we never charge anyone to process a refund. The full policy lives on our refund policy page.
